Stan’s formula for Seniors has proved to be a constant success wherever he performs. It is based on all the old-time favorites like “Put your arms around me honey”, “Ma”, “Ain’t she sweet”,” Alexander’s Ragtime Band” and all the evergreens from the 1920′s.
Stan performs them with his ventriloquist figures as well as on the Harmonica and Ukelele, including the well-known songs of George Formby such as “When I’m cleaning windows”, and “Leaning on a lamp-post”. Sometimes his audience spontaneously get up and dance – this show is always a hit!
Stan has made numerous appearances at Senior homes in Vancouver including:
- Cavelle Gardens
- Crofton Manor
- Collingwood Neighborhood House
- Courtyard Gardens
- Crossreach Centre
- Marpole Day Centre
- Shannon Oaks
- Louis Brier Home and Hospital
“.. professional, dynamic, uplifting, funny, and thoroughly enjoyed by all…. Stan reached our audience both emotionally and physically as his repertoire was full of songs many of our residents knew and loved to dance to…his outstanding choice of music brought tears to their eyes, and many requested we ask Stan to perform for us again.”
“You were so entertaining as a ventriloquist and musician. Everyone really enjoyed the evening with you. The songs, we all knew and could sing along with you. The banjo, harmonica and guitar were also big hits. You were truly a very good entertainer and thank you very much from all of us.”
